ADDENDUM II: NIKE-REVIEWED BULK COLOR PROCESS
I SCOPE
This section of the Nike Apparel Color Manual contains supplementary information to
serve the Nike Colorists and suppliers with specifications and procedures for the
submission of bulk production for color review directly to Nike, the Americas LOCO or
Boolim.
II OBJECTIVE – MAXIM .03 NIKE IS A BRAND
Nike styles worn by athletes who compete on teams require a high level of attention to
season-to-season and lot-to-lot color consistency for three main reasons.
1. Teams often order a full set of garments for each player one season and then a few
replacement pieces the next season.
2. Materials and finished garments are often stored in warehouses or factories where
inventory from one season is combined with that from a different season.
3. Most importantly, athletes wearing this product are the most visible
representatives of the Nike Brand.
For these above mentioned reasons, there are three categories currently identified to
follow the “Nike-Reviewed Bulk Color Process”: Team Apparel, Global Promo Apparel
[GPA] and Global Football Apparel [GFA].
