LiK :: learnings from our bike tour

Hi mates!

I would like to write down all we already talked about last afternoon about our learnings in this bike tour (so far, cos Vinh and Bang are still riding. Go go go go guys!! =D ).

+ Everyone is scared about the unknown. So everyone is scared about hammering for the first time.

+ Anyway, it takes less than 2 minutes for an adult, and a few seconds for a kid to face and beat that fear.

+Kids love LiK cos it lets them go further than just drawing in a paper. From the 2D world to the 3D and real world. Not just creativity and design but also a toy that they can play with. And they can make it by themselves.

Regarding our experiences with Kids:

+ NO GLUE for kids. It's messy, they have to wait until it dries, and that's not fun.
+ They need just a spark of inspiration, just to know how to start playing with LiK.

There are 2 ways that they love:

1/ Games (no hammer and nails required)
+ Puzzles (for the youngest ones)
+ Balancing games
+ Board Games: Domino, Nim, ...

2/ Toys (hammer and nails required)
+ weapons (swords, shields, guns, ...)
+ characters (famous cartoons, ...)
+ decor objects (flower pot, ...)

We just need to teach them how to hold the hammer and hit the nail. They got it so fast.

After our visit to the Sai Gon Suoi Nhum Resort our friend Phạm Quang Hậu(manager at the resort) is joining the team to develop and set up the first KIDS CORNER from LiK which will be settled in his resort.
Hau will be part of the Sales team and, in cooperation with Bang, will be on charge of the development of the Kids Corner and of introducing this new solution in other resorts, big hotels, malls, .. or wherever we think it would work the best. Welcome on board :)

We're also thinking of preparing a TOOLKIT FOR KIDS including:
+ LiK Blocks (enough to complete a game or toy)
+ Some ideas and references to help them start assembling LiK
+ Educational information: environment, where the wood comes from, society.... maybe an infography, maybe a cartoon...

This new tookit should be available at the Kids Corner, and also in our website.

Another great experience and activity that we should promote ist the STREET WORKSHOPS. It's notorious, engaging and a great way to get the attention of our potential clients.

Learnings from our street workshops:

+ Focus on kids. (their parents are around...)
+ Always someone has to be hammering to get the attention.
+ Start hammering a toy (sword?) or ask a kid what do they want
+ Ask kids to help us to assemble a toy (a sword is very popular) for them
+ Instagram ready in our phones or iPad to show our solutions to parents and visitors
+ Some printed solutions available
+ Flyers for everyone who approaches to our stall

Finally, we discussed about HOW TO BEAT THE FEAR TO THE HAMMER and we had an idea that we can apply in HCMC in the following days. We can design a promotion (promoted by Facebook and our website) just for HCMC where if you like any of our solutions or even if you have an idea to make something with LiK, just contact us and we'll assemble with you for free. At our client's place or here at the LiK House.
I'm pretty sure, that after start assembling that object with our client, in a few minutes they are able to complete it by themselves ;)

I hope these experiences will be useful to improve our efficiency, speech and approach to our potential LiKers.

Thank you! ;)
