Step 2. Aggregating at a transaction level
Individual records were then aggregated (grouped) per transaction (invoice number, since in
this example we consider each order’s invoice as a separate transaction) as shown in Table 7.3.
This intermediate aggregation was applied in order to measure the number of transactions per
customer at the subsequent customer‐level aggregation.
