In order to facilitate capacity building projects, government agencies develop a work program focusing on priority areas for environmental cooperation. In order to best allocate resources, it is essential for the government, private sector, and civil society of Vietnam to identify key gaps in environmental laws, issues with enforcement and implementation of environmental laws, as well as possible environmental projects related to wildlife trafficking, conservation, and environmental protection.Some possible cooperative efforts could address issues such as energy efficiency, development of cost-effective, low-emissions technologies and alternative, clean and renewable energy sources, deforestation and forest degradation, and resilient development.
