Love your country, love you people:

Love your country, love you people: Deep inside each one of us, Vietnam is always the nicest country and Vietnamese is always the most gifted, generous and friendliest. I don’t deny it, but Vietnam is such a beautiful country that foreigners are always eager to have a nice land parcel in Vietnam and Vietnamese is so generous and friendly that our political leaders cost free for foreigners the very nice land parcels which the foreigners promised that they would build some free hospitals, free schools or modern factories on…It’s been 20 years since the day they promised us and now, those lands were changed into uncultivated lands. Is it an act of treason or a wise device of political leaders? I don’t care. If they had loved Vietnam and Vietnamese, he wouldn’t have done it. For this reason, I hope our leaders will know by heart this first teaching of Uncle Ho.
Study well, work well: everybody knows that knowledge is the root and branch of development and success. Nowadays, Vietnamese pupils and students are studying and working hardly for the success and development of Vietnam in near future. But most of other young people chose another lifestyle. Their lifestyle is so self-indulgent, dissolute and breach of trust. They can live a life of no purpose. I don’t understand what they exist for, but if there are some Vietnamese things inside their mind; I hope they will think about this teaching.
Good solidarity, good discipline: In Vietnam, religious conflict wasn’t strange anymore. That closely concerns with the discipline of society and law. The law of VN still has some lacunas and this create some chances for bad influence to destroy our socialist state. (I don’t want to talk too much about this question)
Keep personal heath and good sanitariness: Now, Vietnamese really don’t know how to keep personal heath and good sanitariness. We are so panic-stricken about environmental pollution and bad hygiene of food. And I think that it is indispensable consequence of unstable economy development:

+ The globalization race of developing countries like Vietnam that helped them raise the indexes and the living standard but simultaneously it badly influenced the environment too.
+ In market economy times, Human often runs after profits so they forget the human values and they start making the bad things only for the money. They lessen the quality of produce and that is cause of many food poisoning cases in recent times.



Modestly, truthfully, courageously: I think that is the hardest thing to do towards Vietnamese. Maybe when Uncle Ho taught this, may he have known that the essence of Vietnamese is immodest, untruthful and uncourageous? No, it isn’t. This fact is just in accordance with a small number of leaders at present. Now, I’m 16 years old, and have had 10-year awareness. I realized that if the leaders of VN completes 10% their promises, if they admitted 50% their defects and lessened 90% their deceptions VN would have been changed into American.
