Epoxy resins are widely used in many fields such as composite materials, coatings, structural strength, insulation materials ..., due to the characteristics such as compatibility with reinforced high-quality, durable goods likely quality, corrosion resistance and good mechanical properties. However, one of the main drawbacks of epoxy resin is brittle and has limited combustible applications in a number of areas when considering safety issues. Therefore, it is an important issue to improve the fire resistance of epoxy resin. There are many methods to improve fire resistance, as mixed with the refractory nature or conduct polymerization of monomers with refractory. Additional method of flame retardants is a simple way to improve the dissemination and resistance to fire. In this method, the current problems encountered is the ability to disperse fire retardant additive, if not better dispersion will adversely affect the fire resistance of the material. Currently the use of MWCNT reinforced polymer material will promise high mechanical properties and good resistance to fire, thus attracting many scientists in national and international interest. But the ability of the hose MWCNT dispersed in the epoxy resin is not easy, in this work the team approach is to use ultrasound to disperse a combination of methods to test materials as measured mechanical properties FE-SEM and shooting.
