State President Truong Tan Sang left Hanoi on March 23 for his three-day working visit to Laos at the invitation of General Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and State President Choummaly Sayasone. This is an important political event for the bilateral relationship, taking place in the context of traditional friendly relations, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties of Vietnam and Laos, which continues to grow in a more fruitful, effective and practical manner, also at a time when Laos has marked its 60th Lao People's Revolutionary Party establishment, formerly known as the Lao People's Party (March 22, 1955 - 2015). It demonstrates the efforts of both nations to constantly strengthen ties and promote traditional solidarity, loyalty, purity, and close links between the two Parties and the two people of Vietnam and Laos in the current period. We are proud of the ongoing development of the special relationship between Vietnam and Laos. After many hardships and challenges, the traditional friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, set up by President Ho Chi Minh and President Kaysone Phomvihane, and nurtured by the two parties and people of Vietnam and Laos, has become a relationship of purity, strength and power and an important factor ensuring the victory of the revolution in each country.
