DAILY LIFE
1. How much time do you spend at home?
I often spend 10 hours a day at home.

It was last Sunday when my family enjoyed my son’s birthday party in a wonderful restaurant. We really liked the food there.
3. What’s your favourite day of the week?
It is Sunday. Because we don’t have to work, stay at home to relax with family.

HOMETOWN

I live in QN city.
2. What do you like about your hometown?
My hometown is famous for Thien An mountain, Tra Khuc river and Ly Son Island.
3. Is there anything that you don’t like about your hometown?
There are 3 big problems that I don’t like about my hometown:
- Traffic: there are so many traffic accidents everyday.
- The air is polluted.
- The food is expensive and poisonous.


SITUATION 3: A TRIP FROM DANANG TO HANOI
* Means of transport:
- By train
- By plane
- By coach
Reasons:
- It is cheaper to travel by train than by plane.
- You can enjoy beautiful sightseeings along the way.
- It is the safest way to travel among 3 means of transport: by train, by plane and by coach.
Besides that,
- It is maybe faster in case you travel by plane, but it is more expensive.
- Travelling by coach is dangerous because of traffic accident.
So, I think travelling by train is the best choice.
SITUATION 4: The charity club
To raise fund by:
1. Selling hand-made crafts
2. Asking money from big companies
3. Selling food and drinks at the local market
Reasons:
1. It is the fastest way to get money.
2. In some cases you can receive a big amount of money from big and rich companies to raise fund.
3. Some big companies have fund to give money to the poor people. It is the way they show their responsibility to society. So, it is easy for you to get money.
Besides that,
- Selling hand-made crafts and selling food and drinks is not effective because it takes time and you cannot get a lot of money by doing these.
So, I think to raise fund for charity club, asking money from big companies is the best choice.

SITUATION 5:
Three jobs offers:
1. working as a tourguide
2. being an interpreter
3. teaching at a University
Reasons:
- have good chance to travel to many places free.
- meet many people around the world, pratice speaking English everyday.
- get high salary.
Besides that,
- working as an interpreter is boring and stressful.
- teaching at a university is not attractive because of the low salary.
So, I think working as a tourguide is the best choice.
SITUATION 6: birthday party
You are having a birthday party and many of your friends are invited. Three locations are suggested: at home, in a restaurant, and in a karaoke bar. Which do you think is the best place for the party?
Birthday party:
1. At home
2. In a restaurant
3. In a karaoke bar.
Reasons:
1. Having a party at home is cheaper than in a restaurnnt => good way for you to save money.
2. Both you and your friends have warm feeling and comfortable.
3. You can choose the food you like and are not limited the time.
Besides that,
- Having a party in a restaurant is more expensive.
- In a karaoke bar, it’s so noisy.
 So, I think having a birthday party at home is the best choice.
SITUATION 7:
Your friend is not quite good at speaking English and he wants to improve it. He asks you about some ways recommended by his English teacher: attending a course of communicative English, taking part in a weekly English speaking club, making friends with foreigners in your city. REASONS:
1. It doesn’t cost much. You pay a little money for club fee.

Besides that,
- I think attending a course of communicative English is expensive. Maybe you cannot afford it.
- There are not many foreigners in my city. So it is not easy to make friend with foreigners.
