The development of the industry of Australia in the past has related with current developments. The factors that have influenced last decades in development tourism still hold an important position. Australia’ tourism industry began to develop since the ‘’ unwilling tourists’’ was advertised in Great Britain. These ‘’unwilling tourists’’ have paved the way for the creation of the Australian nation. Butler’s (1980) concept of evolution provides a far wider appreciation of the marketing dimension of tourism and its link to the evolution and decay of tourist destination (Hall, M.C. 1995). The Hypothetical stages in the evolution of a tourist area from involvement, exploration to development, consolidation then stagnation to rejuvenation. Tourist attractions through each stage was not new by Butler’ notion. The development of mass tourism has also played a very important part of Australia's tourism industry. The mass tourism is identified to have begun on the 5 July 1841 by the first train of Thomas Cook. The inclusion of the Sydney and Melbourne have marked the starting project of mark international packaging journey. Thomas Cook played extremely important role in the history of economic development from the 1880s to 1890s years. Besides, the evolution of tourism in Australia is associated with the development of transport technology, changing fashion, growth in available leisure time and increase in disposable incomes for the vast majority of the Australian population.
