For my understanding of the Great W

For my understanding of the Great War between 1914-1918: The war was the first man-made catastrophe of the 20th century when new technologies were also creating an arms race among European super powers. I knew that Europe's main powers were divided into two armed camps. One side included: Germany, Austria-Hungary and Turkey. Other side included: Britain, Russia and France. The war brought about the spectacular collapse of three empires: the Russian, Turkey and Austro-Hungarian. Germany defeated militarily but not destroyed. Knowing that there were too much combatants killed and wounded. I knew because the horrors of the Vietnam War, my country, also developed from the post-First World War colonial successes of the European powers. I wondered that it was the desire for greater empire, wealth, or territory.

Through the video, I could learn more about the instability of the European monarchies and the diplomatic agreements that made war all but inevitable. I learnt the cause, which fueled the war efforts on all sides, assassinate heir apparent to the Austro-Hungarian throne on 6/28/1914. By 1915, becoming a global war where I could watch too much death and hunger. West African soldiers were shipped in from the colonies to fight in the trenches, the women traded other jobs for more dangerous jobs in weapons factories that there were the immediate dangers of an industrial accident and injury as women cut their fingers, got grit in their eyes, and breathed noxious fumes from all sorts of processes. Everyone was affected, as, Turkish ethnic cleansing practices killed more than a million Armenians. After all, what soldiers awarded, I could only see many of them could become numb or mad to this, such as Shell Shock, who was a victim.

I was surprising when the war was declared, the citizens of the nations erupted in joyous cheering. They behaved as if the war was the best thing that could ever have happened. I could not understand why they did like that. I also surprised the cause was not only above, but also included industrialization and resultant wealth in some nations, nationalism, imperialism, Bismarck and alliances, arms races, crisis in Africa, and British suffragettes seeking the vote for British women. I could not believe after the cease-fire, the brutality of trench warfare was brought home to city streets in the forms of political assassinations, revenge, starvation and anarchy. Millions of people, who were military and civilian, in every combatant nation had to cope with the war experience and its aftermath. This is a great number.

I would like to know more about the political conditions in nations around the world after the Great War, as, how social and economic conditions of colonial rule contributed to the rise of nationalist movements in Southeast Asia, How the impact of the war on the international economy and the effects of industrial conversion from war to peace in Britain, France, Germany... Moreover, how the entry of the United States affected the course and outcome of the war, motivations behind the entrance of the U.S. into the war.

Through the video, I could learn more about the instability of the European monarchies and the diplomatic agreements that made war all but inevitable.
