The pattern of growth in the mature market suggests two subsegments that willbe especially important. The 55- to 64-year-old group will grow by almost 19 percentbetween 2010 and 2020 as the first baby boomers move into their mature years. This segment will be a very active group of consumers seeking new experiences and learningto deal with extended leisure, that is, the ability to take longer vacations as seniorityincreases vacation entitlements and as retirement approaches or as early retirementpermits. In addition, the 65- to 74-year-old age group will grow over 13 percent duringthe same time period.
