You will work in groups of 4-5 students to research the human resource development (HRD)
and/or learning and development (L&D) practices within organisation of direct relevance to
your group. Your group will analyse the extent to which the organisation’s HRD function
meets the organisation’s learning and development needs, and your group will propose a
specific HRD intervention that either fills an unmet need or improves an existing HRD
practice in the organisation. Your group’s written proposal should include a summary
analysis of the organisation and its HRD function, as well as an analysis of design,
implementation and evaluation issues relevant to your group’s proposed intervention.
Your group will prepare a short (5-minute) oral presentation of your proposed HRD
intervention, and your group will prepare a single written group proposal of approximately
4000 words.
