The Bill of Material Processor modu

The Bill of Material Processor module does the following functions: (Refer Fig. 10.9)
• Creates audit trails for the product structure file to provide a record of additions,
changes, and deletions.
• Allows full product structure file maintenance with user assigned sequence of
components.
• Supports up to several levels of sub-assemblies.
• Creates new bills by copying parts of old ones.
• Replaces all occurrences of an obsolete item with a replacement part.
• Allows inquiry terminal to see in which assemblies an item is used.
• Displays the indented or single level bill of material for any item on the screen.
• Prints the total component cost of items in the costed Bill of Material.
• Prints a picking list to facilitate creating kits for assembly.
• Allows reports to be displayed on the screen for immediate inquiry
