The scope of works shall include but not limited to the following:
a) The Specialist Contractor shall design, supply and install the sewage treatment plant (STP) in accordance to the requirements specified in this document. The Specialist Contractor shall submit details of the STP layout plan and schematic diagram of the STP process in the tender submission.
b) The Specialist Contractor shall propose either one or both of the following options to be selected at the discretion of the Employer:
• Option 1: A fully aerated biological treatment system – Aerobic Bio-Contactor, as described in Section 2.2 of this document.
• Option 2: Any other design that meets the performance requirements stated in this document, and is smaller and more compact in size than the system offered in Option 1.
c) The Specialist Contractor shall provide the necessary lighting, ventilation system and other M&E equipment if his design requires such facilities for the safe operation and easy maintenance of the STP.
d) The Specialist Contractor shall supply and connect the electrical cables from the junction box assigned by the Engineer to the STP. Detailed breakdown of the required electricity supply and the estimated energy consumption of the STP shall be in submitted in the tender submission.
e) The Specialist Contractor shall submit the testing and commissioning procedures and the testing criteria for the Engineer’s approval. The Specialist Contractor shall also supply all the necessary tools, personnel and measuring equipment to carry out the testing and commissioning of the STP.
f) Upon completion of the STP, the Specialist Contractor shall provide three (03) copies (2 hardcopies, 1 CD softcopy) of the operation and maintenance manual. Training on the operation and maintenance of the STP shall be conducted for related personnel. Details of training program, duration and schedule shall be provided one (01) month prior to the testing and commissioning of the STP.
g) The Specialist Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining the approval and certification by the appropriate authority before the commencement of work, acceptance and handover of the STP to the Employer.
h) The Specialist Contractor shall ensure the necessary documentation and submission satisfy the relevant authority approval requirements before the acceptance certificate is issued.
