Low barrel temperature—low barrel temperatures result inimproper molecule blending due to unmelted particles. Theseparticles travel through the melt stream and enter the cavity. Intransparent parts, they appear as clear spots (visible as an outline), and in opaque parts, they may also show if near the surface. Sectioning an opaque part reveals the spots as voids.Increasing the barrel temperature in 10˚ F (5.5˚ C) increments, and allowing the temperatures to stabilize for ten cycles beforeincreasing again, minimizes clear spots.
