Description
As the Raw Material Center Director, you will be in charge of the qualification of Raw Material and managing Raw Material Portfolio in EMEA (Europe Middle East Africa).
Qualification involves coordinating supplier data collection and analysis, analytical and microbiological testing, regulatory review, identification of raw material Critical To Quality parameter related to the finished product, in order to define the Raw material Specification.
Portfolio management encompasses Public Relation issue monitoring and managing through internal and external influencing.
Additionally, the objective will be to rationalize the Raw Material qualified to limit its proliferation while ensuring Product innovation and Supply Chain robustness. (double sourcing, business continuity plan, cost improvement plan..)
As a Raw Material Center Leader, you will play an active role in the Product environmental sustainability strategy considering that Raw Material play a key role in it.
As Director of the department, you will supervise a team of 10 to 15 persons and manage budget.
Your key business partners will include R&D Product Development, Franchise
Leaders, Procurement, Regulatory Affairs and Operations. External contact will include suppliers, Trade association, Non-Governmental Officials and Governmental Officials.
The scope of product Categories covers Formulated Skin care product and non-formulated (E.g Tampon, Napkins). In the context of Recast the person in the position will be responsible for Packaging material and formula interaction qualification.
Regulatory scope is mainly cosmetics, but contains a few topical medical devices and Topical OTC products, and will expand to Non-prescription drugs (API and Excipient qualification).
Geographical scope is mainly EMEA, with several worldwide projects.
The position located either in France (Val-de-Reuil) or in Switzerland (ZUG), or in the EMEA region.
Qualifications
Master degree in science or Phd., and 10 years of experience in the Cosmetic or Pharmaceutical industry (Preferred), or in food or chemical industry.
Experience in product Chemistry, product development, procurement or regulatory affairs is desired.
You will need to be fluent in English.
Good communication and presentation skills.
Autonomy, rigor, method and good organization.
Good adaptability and flexibility.
Ability to work in team and project mode.
Ability to challenge and take initiatives and decisions.
