Troubleshooting for Publishers
The following is a list of explanations for error messages you might see when setting up the Solve Media widget, and information to help resolve them.

Note

This page is meant for publishers who are seeing errors within Solve Media widgets on their pages. If you are seeing an error on a site you are attempting to use, you should contact the site owner directly.

Domain/Ckey Mismatch

A "ckey / domain mismatch" message appears when the domain of your page, and/or the challenge (public) key you are using do not exactly match the settings in the Solve Media portal. The most common remedies are listed below:

Open "My Sites - Configure" and verify that the value in the Site field matches the domain of the page where you implemented the widget.
If your site's address works both with and without "www" at the start, you will need to enable your key for subdomains. Do this by adding a period to the start of the domain name in your Site Configuration. For instance, if your domain is "example.com", enter it as ".example.com".
Invalid Ckey

"Invalid ckey" indicates that the challenge key which has been provided is not being accepted by our system. This is usually due to the key being copied incorrectly or incompletely.

Confirm that you correctly copied the challenge key. If you copied the HTML code from our instructions, make sure that you replaced "your_challenge_key" with your challenge key. There should be no < > brackets around it.
Make sure you copy the entire string. Challenge keys can occasionally have characters such as dashes and periods; these are part of the key and must be retained.
