Directories of the Diagnostics Agent
For the Diagnostics Agent the installer creates the following types of directories:
Ó¿‰˜Òž Logically shared directories
Ó¿‰˜Òž Local directories
Details are shown in the following figure.

The Diagnostics Agent directory /usr/sap/ contains the following subdirectories:
Ó¿‰˜Òž SYS, which is a logically shared directory
Ó¿‰˜Òž SMDA, which is a local directory
CAUTION
Since traces for the instance are created in this directory, sufficient space must be available in
this directory.
Logically Shared Directories (Diagnostics Agent)
The logically shared directory SYS contains the following subdirectories:
Ó¿‰˜Òž exe
Contains executable kernel programs
Ó¿‰˜Òž global
Contains globally shared data
Ó¿‰˜Òž profile
Contains the profiles of the Diagnostics Agent instance
