If no value is set for these variables, the installer creates the installation directory sapinst_instdir directly below the /tmp directory by default. If you want the installer to create the installation directory sapinst_instdir in another directory, set the environment variable TEMP to this directory before you start the installer.Shell Used CommandBourne shell (sh) TEMP=export TEMPC shell (csh) setenv TEMP Korn shell (ksh) export TEMP=Only valid for: IBM DB2 for i5/OS |NOTEWhen you leave your Qp2Term session, all changes of the environment variables done by the command export are reverted.End of: IBM DB2 for i5/OS |CAUTIONMake sure that the installation directory is not mounted with NFS, or there might be problems when the Java Virtual Machine is started.RECOMMENDATIONWe recommend that you keep all installation directories until the system is completely and correctly installed. ■ The installer creates a subdirectory for each installation option called sapinst_instdir/.7 Additional Information7.2 Additional Information About the Installer2013-10-28 CUSTOMER 91/108
