Aegiceras corniculatum shows a similar but inverted pattern tothat of O. octodonta; it produces nearly all of its new leaves diaringFebruary to April and virtually no leaves during the remainder ofthe year, regardless of temperature. Leaf production ceases below16°C, whereas maximum leaf production occurs around 25°C inautumn.
