Thương mại các loài nguy cấp được chính thức kiểm soát thông qua
Công ước về buôn bán quốc tế các loài
(CITES). Tuy nhiên, chỉ có một loài gỗ hồng mộc, Brazil
gỗ hồng mộc (Dalbergia nigra), được liệt kê dưới Phụ lục I của
Công ước CITES, chỉ ra lệnh cấm tất cả các thương mại quốc tế trong các loài. Hai loài hơn nữa (D. retusa và D. stevensonii) có
dân Guatemala của họ được liệt kê dưới Phụ lục III, trong đó

Lịch sử của các lệnh cấm về xuất khẩu gỗ hồng là thú vị.
Một lệnh cấm đủ điều kiện đã được giới thiệu bởi nghị định của chính phủ trong năm 2000
(Nghị định không có. 11832/2000). Bất chấp lệnh cấm, đã có một
