The time for goodbyes finally came.

The time for goodbyes finally came. Conan and Ai were surrounded by group of their friends, who were saying how much they would miss them, though both Conan and Ai knew that some of them only pretended that, because they would see them soon again. However, this time it would not be anymore the smart first grader Conan, who could point out things that would help in solving the cases or Ai, a quiet girl, who occasionally say clever stuff that would not normally come out from a first grade girl.

"We will miss you so much, Conan-kun and Ai-chan!" Ayumi sobbed as she hugged them both.

Conan and Ai hugged her back. She was so lucky. She didn't have to worry about anything now and she could enjoy her child life. It went the same to Mitsuhiko and Genta.

"Just remember about everything what I have taught you, so I can be proud of my assistant," Genta said proudly putting his arm around Conan's neck.

"Ha, ha," Conan chuckled. Of course, Genta would still think of Conan as his assistant not vice versa.

Mitsuhiko was looking down on his shoes, before he shouted out looking at Ai, "Don't forget about me, I mean us!"

"We won't," Ai smiled at the detective boys.

"Especially with these detective badges," Conan pointed out on his badge, smiling at the three kids. Yes, he would definitely miss them and the time he spent with them.

Kobayashi also said goodbye to Conan and Ai. She hugged them and said to them to be good kids and didn't forget of the detective boys. Obviously, Kobayashi still thought of herself as their member. Conan still wondered if Shiratori told her, but it didn't look that way. He actually preferred if less people knew about who he really was.

When, the detective boys along with the teacher said their final goodbyes, inspector Megure with the officer, Satou, Takagi and Shiratori approached Conan and Ai.

Inspector Megure kneeled in front of Conan and Ai and he grinned at them and said, "It was my big pleasure to meet such smart kids like you two and I will miss you."

He put his arms around Conan and Ai. Of course, he had to act like he would never see them again.

The police officers also said how happy they were that they met them and that they would miss them too.

However, Takagi asked Conan, "Will you be alright?" Conan could see concern in Takagi's eyes. He wished that people would stop worry about him, though.

Conan didn't respond, but instead he said, "I'm really happy that I have met you and that I could work with you."

"Us too," Satou responded with the smile.

Ran was observing Conan and Ai and how they were saying goodbyes to others. She also wanted to say goodbye to them. She would still miss Conan. After all, he was like little brother for her.

She slowly approached Conan and Ai, who turned in her way. Conan immediately looked in other direction. Ran wished that he would stop behave in this way. He couldn't avoid her forever.

"Conan-kun, Ai-chan, I will miss you both very much," Ran smiled at them both.

Conan seemed more interested in his shoes, though Ai looked up and she responded, "Thank you, we'll miss you too."

Ran noticed that Ai poked Conan in his arm. He immediately raised his head up and he muttered, "Uh, yes, we will."

Ran tried to hold back her tears. She will really miss Conan. Ran hugged him and she whispered to his ear, "I will still miss you, Conan-kun."

Tears appeared in her eyes. She couldn't help it. Even though, some people might consider Conan as not real person, for her Conan was a big part of her life and she would definitely not forget him.

Ran couldn't tell from Conan's blank expression of what he was thinking. It looked like he was in deep thoughts as he didn't know what was going around him. She looked concerned at Conan. Maybe, she could forgive him. He already went through enough, because of the organization. It actually made Ran thinking, how it all affected Shinichi's mental state. He was a kid for a year and he had to hide his true identity from almost everyone including people he cared for. Ran knew that most people find out about Conan's true identity by themselves and probably Conan would not tell even his parents about what happened to him, if he didn't have to.

Ran was actually surprised that Shinichi's parents didn't appear at the party. She knew that they already came back to Los Angeles, but it would look more natural, if they were here or Yukiko disguised as Conan's mum, at least. However, it seemed that only the detective boys were earlier interested whether Conan's parents will come or not. Conan said to them that his parents would come for him on the airport.

She also hugged Ai, who unlike Conan hugged her back. She even smiled at her, though Ran noticed some sadness in Ai's eyes. Before, she could ask anything, Heiji came into the view.

"I will really miss you," Heiji wiped off his 'tear' and he grinned at Ai and Conan.

Conan looked annoyed at Heiji and Ai responded politely, "We'll miss you too, Heiji-neechan."

Well, Ai behaved right, at least.

Conan and Ai said also their goodbyes to Sera, Sonoko and their other classmates. Even though, it wasn't weird for Ran, she thought that some people may feel odd to say goodbye to Conan and Ai, knowing that they were not leaving, but they only would came back to their original size.

Ran looked at her dad, who stood in the corner, but he didn't seem that he was about to come to them. She only noticed that both her dad and Conan glanced quickly at each other. Ran was glad that her dad forgave Conan.

The party came to the end and everyone went homes.
