Part 1: Interview (2-3 minutes)
- Could you tell me your name? Does your name affect your personality?

- What important event has happened in your country recently?
Well, an important event has recently happened in Vietnam is Tet Festival or Lunar New Year. It is the
most important event for Vietnamese people. All of the family member can get together and celebrate
in this event. There are many interesting activities to do before and during Tet Festival.
Part 2: Topic card (4-5 minutes)
Describe a friend you will never forget. You should say: Who the person is, When you met your
friend, What his/her personality is like, How you’ve become friends
Today I want to talk about my best friend. His name is ... I met him when I was in grade 6. He is a tall
boy with an oval face and black short hair, big black eyes and a high nose. He looks very strong
because he does morning exercise every day. In terms of his personality, he is a generous and talkative
boy. He is also very funny. He often helps other people when they need and he always tells us many
jokes. At first, I didn’t like him too much because he studied better than me  Well, you know, we
were all young boys at that time. And when we were in grade 8, we had to sit together in the class. One
day, I found that he has a similar hobby with me. Both of us like soccer. And from that day, we have

have to do. And I don’t know what my life will be if I don’t have friends. It may be very boring life.
