71 Time for putting application in order for acceptance• (1) A patent application is void unless, within the prescribed period, the applicant ensures that—o (a) the application and the complete specification comply with the requirements of this Act and of the regulations; ando (b) the applicant has complied with all requirements imposed on the applicant by or under this Act that are prescribed for the purposes of this paragraph; ando (c) the invention, so far as claimed, is a patentable invention under section 14; ando (d) there is no other lawful ground of objection to the grant of a patent in respect of the application.(2) Deadlines, or extensions of deadlines, set by the Commissioner under section 67 cannot extend the prescribed period under subsection (1).(3) Nothing in this section limits section 68 (which relates to treating an application as abandoned).73 Notice of entitlement must be filed before acceptance• (1) The applicant must file, in the prescribed manner, a notice stating the grounds on which the nominated person is entitled to be granted the patent under section 22—o (a) before the expiry of the prescribed period under section 71; oro (b) before the expiry of the extension or last extension under section 72 (if the prescribed period under section 71 is extended under that section).(2) For the purposes of this Act, the applicant may be taken to be the nominated person.(3) However, if the applicant is not the nominated person or is not the only nominated person, the applicant must identify all of the nominated persons in the notice referred to in subsection (1).(4) Subsection (2) does not limit subsection (1).(5) A patent application is void if the applicant does not comply with this section.
