Should America encourage immigrants?
Nowadays, immigration has become increasingly common. People tend to move to other countries. America is one of the major country where they want to live and work. However, the immigration has both advantages and disadvantages. In general, Americans have mixed feelings about the effect immigrants has in their country.
To start with, many people feel that the immigration can have disadvantage impact on America. For instance, society may face a housing problem, security problem. People lack of housing, social has more social evils like alcoholism, racism, so on. The government will have many difficulties in social control. In addition, the government have to increase social security. The fact that many immigrations enter to America, many people out of work, they depend on social security and the government need to take care of them. Furthermore, many people claim that the immigration leads to terrorism. People are really afraid of the terrorism and terrorists attack all time. Terrorism can take advantage of the wave of the immigration and blends into the immigrant groups. They can do anything and the government will be very difficult to control all immigrants. Thus, the immigration bring some disadvantages impact on America.
On the other hand, the desire to attract immigrants to certain are often encouraged America to develop country’s economy. For example, when more and more immigrants come into America, government can solve labor shortage and immigration can increase the tax income. Besides, immigrants contribute to the America's cultural diversity. The fact that each new wave of immigration has added to the nation's ethnic and cultural composition. Immigrants come from different countries and they keep traditions, customs and lifestyle of their country, then blend into the American cultural. Most importantly, the government can easily approach to talented people. When more and more immigrants come to America, it has more opportunities to approach talented people. America is very large, many places are still deserted, this means the government needs people built, live and work there. Most of people believe that immigrants will make the country stronger, richer and more prosperous. Obviously, immigration can bring many benefits influence on America.
All in all, it is true to say that the immigration has not only many advantages, but also many disadvantages. However, the immigration is one of the most part of America. It can make America different from other countries.
