NIKE Method
 SOLID DYED fabrics, test
at 90ºC for 24 hours.
 SUBLIMATED PRINT,
test at 70ºC for 48 hours.

*** Note: For Color Change evaluation: If the result without the use of UV suppressor does not
meet Nike standard, submit additional result WITH use of UV suppressor. When color change is
due to Optical Brightening Agent, state “Color Change due to OBAs” on the Lab Dip submit form
or Production test submit form.
*** China Regulations requirement can be based on result with UV suppressor.

Note: Colorfastness results must be submitted to Nike with all Lab Dips. This also includes colors
that are submitted to Nike Merchandisers, Garment teams, and Product Developers such as Print
strike-offs and Garment washed shadebands.
Vendor must provide information or certificate from Dye Supplier to Nike Colorist if
colorfastness is not achievable.
Note: Physical testing lab’s grey scale should be read on the spectro every 6 months to insure no
degradation.
