My way of providing Carbon source to pond and natural fertilizer as well during pond preparation
Materials:
- Carbonized Rice Hull (charcoal made from rice hull
- Goat or Chicken Manure
- Rice bran
- Molasses
- LABs (Lactic Acid Bacteria) product of fermented rice wash and fresh cow, goat or carabao milk ( will serve as probiotics)
- Unchlorinated water
Mix all the liquid.
Mix the rice bran, carbonized rice hull and manure. Water it with mixed liquid materials by 60% moisture. Put it in an airtight container and ferment it for 2 weeks.
After 2 weeks broadcast it to pond or put in into sack and submerge it to water as slow release fertilizer.
Carbon will provide energy to LABs or bacteria, bacteria will decomposed all the excess feeds and inorganic matter in the pond bottom and will turn it into natural feeds for shrimp fish and crabs..
