For the range of items that you are likely to make, I would narrow our model options down to just 2. One is the Modular 2S, as described in the first attachment. The second is a new model just being introduced, which we don't have an information sheet for yet, but for which I attach the 3 photos. The new model range is the E12- series. In terms of vacuum performance, size of resin trap and quality of components, the 2 models are exactly the same. However, to meet the demand for more cost effective models, we have deleted or changed the following aspects of the Modular series machines to arrive at the E12- series :
The mobile docking cart of the Modular has been deleted. All components are combined on to one base panel. In this format, the E12- machines can be mounted on a locally sourced trolley or cart, or sat on a workbench if mobility is not required.
The paper element filter unit on the vacuum pump of the Modular machines has been replaced by a foam filter element inside the control manifold of the E12- series. (We have used the foam filter on our original 20/2 machine since 2006 and it is a proven solution.)
We have used the same controls as on the Modular 2S, but compacted them down onto a smaller manifold block
While it has always been available as a more basic option on the Modular machines, we are recommending our pressed steel resin trap lid for the E12- series. But with the addition of a slight modification to allow the contents in the resin trap to be inspected at all times. The modification is to convert 2 of the tubing connection positions into 2 small glass windows, one of which you can apply an LED torch to. This provides good visibility into the trap, as shown in the last photo, which is of a label placed right at the bottom of the internal catchpot. Using the steel trap lid and the 2 glass windows means reducing the number of O-ring sealed tubing connections from a maximum of 8 on the Modular 2S, to just two of them on the E12- series. For car/small truck laminate sizes, 2 tubing connections will usually be sufficient. If need be, you could use T's in the vacuum lines to increase the number of connections to the vacuum bag.

For both series of machines there are 2 main vacuum pump options; the 20 m3/h capacity EM20/B and the 28 m3/h EM28/B. For your laminate sizes, the smaller pump will be fine.

I would need to get a quotation to confirm the airfreight cost into Vietnam, but indicative delivered-into-store prices for the two models, excluding import duty and tax are:

E12-20 with EM20/B pump, with pressed steel resin trap lid with 2 tubing connections & 2 glass view ports - NZD 4,758.00 or approx USD 3,235.00

Modular 2S with EM20/B pump, with machined aluminium resin trap lid with 8 tubing connections & 75 mm glass view port - NZD 6,445.00 or approx USD 4,383.00

Because our systems are modular, the possibility exists to add some of the Modular 2S modules (such as the machined aluminium trap lid) to the E12-20, or reduce some aspects of the Modular 2S, with price adjustments accordingly. Effectively, the E12-20 is our least cost solution to provide a sturdy workhorse for the laminates you are likely to infuse. Upgrading to the Modular 2S adds the convenience of very easy mobility for shifting the machine from one moulding station to another and the additional connections on the resin trap lid would allow more control over the movement of the resin flow front of complex infusions. This is discussed in our note: http://www.vacmobiles.com/peel_ply_resin_breaks.html. The E12-20 will meet your needs, but the Modular 2S will be the more convenient and versatile solution long term.

Please note that the above machines are offered for single vacuum level infusions, using a mould and either nylon bagging film or silicone rubber moulded bags. If you wanted to increase production rates by using male and female moulds and the dual-vacuum RTM Light process, you would either need 2 machines or our Modular 4S system. The latter is 2x Modular 2S systems combined on the same cart. If you wanted the flexibility for both infusion and RTM Light processing, 2x E12-20 or 2x Modular 2S would provide more flexibility of use than a single Modular 4S machine.

Other details:

Delivery time
The ex-works time for any model is generally around 1 week and we deliver small numbers of machines by commercial airfreight. A delivery time into store of around 2 weeks, plus Customs processing time, would be typical.

Payment
We accept payment by direct bank transfer in NZD, EUR, GBP, SGD, USD and by AMEX, Mastercard and VISA credit cards.

Warranty
Our machines typically require almost nil external support, except possibly for the vacuum pump after 1 to 2 years of heavy industrial duty. Subject to routine oil changing and pump cleaning, we guarantee the vacuum pump for 12 months and the balance of the machine for 24 months from date of invoice.

Tubing sizes
For composites work - especially for resin infusion - we recommend extruded translucent polyethylene vacuum tubing. With our connection system, we O-ring seal to the outside of the tubing. This is a significant advantage when resin passes through the tubing, as resin flow into the resin trap is not impeded by fittings. (In most vacuum systems, the tubing is fitted over a male hose tail and resin passing through the hose tail can block it.) Our tubing connections are quick to use and seal very effectively without mastic. In cross-section they look like this:



The available connection sizes suit the following tubings: 9.5 mm to 10 mm (3/8") OD, 12.0 mm OD, 12.5 mm to 13 mm (1/2") OD, 16 mm (5/8") OD, 19 mm (3/4") OD and 19 mm (3/4") ID (via adaptors). For car part sized laminates, a tube size of 10 mm OD would be fine, but local tubing availability might influence the tubing selection and should be checked before ordering a machine.

Use of the machines and hands-on training
Vacmobiles are very simple to use. Creating a good vacuum will not be a problem for you, but where you may need assistance is with details of the laminating aspects. Graco may be help with infusion training, or be able to suggest a trainer who they know. We could possibly introduce you to boat builders in Vietnam using our machines, but I don't think they would be best equipped to offer training biased towards high rate production and Class A finishes. I suggest you ask Graco first. If they can't assist, I will be pleased to research other possibilities. Please note that the costs associated with training and the transition to infusion can be significant. However, if your goal is to produce quality laminates as soon as possible, I would strongly recommend against selecting a trainer based on cost alone.
