for establishing and operating a chemical plantin a foreign
country for the productionofsalicylic acid.
In the UnitedStatess alicylicacid is manufactured in three
quality grades: technical, crystalizedand sublimed (USP).
The technical gradecontains 98-99%real salicy.lic acid and
sells for about $0.39 a pound. Crystalized and U.S.P.grade
sell for about $0.48and $0.55perpound respectively. All
three of these grades canbemanufactured in this plant.
Since the tecrnical grade acid has the largest use, allfacts
and figures shown in this report willbe based on the production
of technical grade acid
