THE YOUTH LEADER TRAINING PROGRAM STAGE 1 WAS COMPLETED.

Ho Chi Minh City, Dec. 20, 2019-Camp 1 of the "Vietnam Climate Leader Initiative" (abbreviated: VCLI) organized by CHANGE, with professional support from SIHUB and UNICEF, took place in 4 days (from 14-17/12) to provide the necessary knowledge and practical skills to the 46 young leader who can provide themselves with the response solutions to the climate change (climate) of each of its localities , especially in the Mekong Delta provinces.

A precursor to Vietnam Climate Leadership Camp (VCLC), the annual climate camp starting in 2017, VCLI 2019 is a more expansive program that increases the number of camps growing to 50 and divided into three phases, consisting of Camp 1 (14-17/12) Camp 2 (10/01-12/01) and Nursery (10/02-30/05/2020), with the objective of supporting the star, young children can build and implement a complete and effective environmental campaign to respond and minimize the problems of climate change today.

After a brief selection, 46 young children who were selected for ages aged 16-24, brought their own personality, entered Camp 1 of the VCLI program. And all have the chief qualities and bring a burning desire to turn the initiative in relation to climate CHANGE, the environment itself is true in the coming time.

Throughout the 4 days of Camp 1, the campers have a chance to access the fundamental knowledge of the climate CHANGE and are equipped with the skills necessary to build an effective environmental campaign (skills to work with communities, communication skills and many other soft skills such as leadership, teamwork, creativity,...); Then, young friends will plan their complete campaign and resubmit the organizers to be recruited into Phase 2 of the VCLI program. Also within Camp 1, young children are also able to show talent during the night of the General Assembly-"VCLI's Gala" and emotional cohesion with the vibrant Team-building activity that takes place on the last day of the show.

A/Camp 1: platform.
Duration: 4 days.
Location: Can Tho city
Time: 14/12-17/12/2019
Number of participants: 50

Participants will be:

-Cultivate a fundamental knowledge of climate change and introduce Vietnam climate protection communication activities, building skills to work effectively as teamwork, leadership, negotiation, negotiating with various objects.
-Visit the actual model
After Phase 1, you will gather into groups (from the members of the program or from outside) and resubmit the idea to BTC. 12 groups with the most unique and potential projects will be opted in to Phase 2.
b/Camp 2: Development
Duration: 3 days
Location: Can Tho city
Time: 10/01-12/01/2020

-Here, 12 selected groups will continue to be equipped with deep skills of "design thinking" to complete the construction of a plan to be deployed within 3 months. The team will present plans and receive suggestions from the judges. Then, 6-8 of the best teams will continue on to the next stage.

C/Stage 3: Nursery sprouts.
Expected time: 10/02-30/05/2020.

-6-8 selected groups will receive funding costs, intensive support persons, and 6 small training sessions to look back on the plan for editing that best suits the situation.

-CHANGE will hold the ceremony so that the group can present the results achieved after 3 months. This is a great opportunity for the climate leader to meet potential donors to expand the project with the community.
