Larry here and I'm your BoostSpeed expert! If you want all the boring and sundry details, I work in the Windows software development team at Auslogics, but more importantly, over the next couple of weeks I get the awesome opportunity to help you get the absolute most out of BoostSpeed. I'll be sending you some "Listen to Larry" emails that will be chocked full of awesomely helpful tips, useful tricks and (of course) absolutely no spam. What you need to know is that BoostSpeed can make pretty much any computer faster, but almost everyone that has it only uses a tiny fraction of its AWESOME OPTIMIZATION FEATURES! They're not able to get anywhere near the maximum effect possible. It's like running your diesel engine on cooking oil – it'll work, but not too well (and it'll make your ride smell like a KFC on wheels)… Larry's job here is to make sure this DOES NOT happen to you. So let's get going… Listen to Larry!

What's Larry got for you now? Today I'll show you how to use BoostSpeed's most important and most-loved feature, which of course is the main one-click scan and repair you see when you first open the program. Let's rock it:

1. If you don't have BoostSpeed yet, download it here and get it installed.
2. Launch BoostSpeed. If you have just installed BoostSpeed for the first time, it will be launched automatically and a full scan will start immediately upon launch, so you will need to skip Steps 2 and 3.
3. Click SCAN ALL to launch a scan. Now sit back and relax while BoostSpeed checks every nook and cranny in your system for potential problem causes.

Here is a summary of all the cool things that BoostSpeed does when you click the big button:

- Scan your drives for files of temporary nature and everything that is referred to as junk;
- Scan your Windows registry for corrupt or obsolete entries that may be causing stability problems;
- Scan your system for issues that may be reducing its speed, making it slow to shut down, making your internet slow and so on.

Once the scan's all done, all you need to do is click the "REPAIR ALL" button and all of these issues get fixed automatically, one category at a time. Understand that you don't have to do it all every time. If you like, you can scan and repair just one category at a time by turning off the rest right on the Diagnostics screen, or even select individual subsections to tackle under each category when you please by clicking the Settings icon at the top-right corner of each category section. The options are endless and YOU HAVE THE POWER!

Even though the main scan and repair takes just the single click of a button, BoostSpeed still gives you the option to schedule it, so you don't even need to remember to click! Ain't that smart? Ain't that amazing? Don't you want your laundry to have the same feature? I know I do…

But anyway, until we can work out self-washing undies, here's how you can schedule BoostSpeed to run automatically:

1. Launch BoostSpeed.
2. Click Settings at the bottom left of the main program window.
3. In the menu on the left select 'Scheduler'.
4. Check the box next to 'Enable automatic maintenance' and select the categories you would like to scan and fix automatically. It can be just one, two, three or all four.
5. Select when you'd like maintenance to run and click OK.

So that's it! Super simple, right? Now, you can rest easy and sleep well. You'll never have to worry about clicking the big button anymore.

Unless you work in missile defense or something...

When you're done with your PC's, head over to a friend or neighbor's house and use BoostSpeed to hook their PC's up too! You'll be a hero! Folks will love you! Fame will soon follow, then money, and that house in the hills you've been dreaming of…

Bear in mind that you really need to run maintenance at least once a week to prevent problems from accumulating.
