Nevertheless, he was the the only member of the Blake Association to learn the identities of the “Red John” dyad (see below), and Jane’s killing him actually allows the “Red John” dyad (protected elite ) to be both believed dead, and absolved of suspicion.

The “Red John " mastermmind’s knowledge of the names on Jane’s list was based on the simplest answer possible. He knew because the list included both the two individuals that constitute the “Red John” dyad and the four Blake Association assets that were most instrumental in protecting them by monitoring or thwarting Jane’s investigation. The “Red John” dyad comprises the original “Red John/Smiley-face” murderer (Haffner) and the “Red John” mastermind, his protector/father/lover (Stiles), both unmarked. The Blake Association assets comprise McAllister, Bertram, Smith, and, Partridge, all marked.

Of Jane’s 7 suspects, 6 were Red John/Blake associates. That’s an ~86% accuracy rate. A 0.5 std improvement over the 68.2% Jane often suggests for his certainty of his knowledge. Of those 6 suspects, 4 were Blake Associates (protectors) and 2 were Visualize members (protected). Of course, the “Red John” mastermind, knowing Jane’s abilities, would expect that Jane could, and would, deduce this list of suspects.

Of the one suspect not associated with Red John/Blake Association, Kirkland, just as Red John/Blake Association knew and were suspicious, of his investigation, background, and probably methods, the “Red John” mastermind would also have expected Jane to have come to the conclusion that Kirkland was dirty, and possibly linked to Red John/Blake Association.

So, the “Red John” mastermind’s pre-knowledge of Jane’s list was simply an acknowledgement that Jane would eventually deduce correctly. Not magic, but logic.

To me, the real question is why would the "Red John" dyad actually attend Jane's little meeting unless it served their purposes, which, in fact, it did. Stiles and Haffner are in Ecuador, and planning Stiles' reincarnation!
