We need to get the labelling right.



We need to provide this information to all our suppliers for shipments of Pink Pitaya:



(a) Standard 1.2.2 – Food Identification Requirements; and

(b) Standard 1.2.3 – Mandatory Warning and Advisory Statements and Declarations;

and

(c) Standard 1.2.5 – Date Marking of Food; and

(d) Standard 1.2.6 – Directions for Use and Storage; and

(e) Standard 1.2.11 – Country of Origin Labelling (applies in Australia only); and



If we don’t and they ask for it then that can cause a problem?!?!



We also need to list ingrediants. I know it is 100% Raw Pitaya but is water added at any stage of the process we need to know? We need to know exactly the process?



Obviously something is addedd to process the Pitaya? We need to know what the Processing Aid is? How much is added to the pitaya? Otherwise this can be a lawsuit waiting to happen…

We are on selling a product that we are putting trust in that they are saying is 100% Pitaya. Because of labelling we put on it. We need to find out exactly what is in the produce.
