Along with the worldwide trend, the habit of Vietnamese people to use Internet as a vehicle to approach different purpose is also changing. According to CIMIGO 2012 Net Citizens report, there are around 2 billion people using Internet in the world (29% of global population), and 42% of this Internet–user population are located in Asia. In Vietnam, there are about 30 million people using Internet, occupying 35% of Vietnamese population (Department of Information Technology E-commerce 2012). It is also mentioned that in Asia, the number of Internet-user in Vietnam is higher than in Thailand and in Malaysia, making Vietnam to be one of the fastest growing Internet country in the area (www.internetworldstats.com). This Internet penetration rate, therefore, has opened a window of opportunity for online shopping in Vietnam.
