pH value positioning. The standard buffer solution used for the positioning shall
have the pH value close to that of the solution to be measured. Prior to the
positioning, flush the electrode with distilled water and measure the beaker for
more than two times. Then slightly absorb the residual water drop at the bottom
of the electrode. Pour the orientation solution in the test beaker, and immerse the
electrode in the solution. Make zero point adjustment, temperature
compensation and full-scale correction of the gauge, and finally position the pH
meter according to the pH value of the positioning buffer solution used. Repeat
this operation for one to two times until the error is within the allowable range.
The positioning solution can be reserved and used for the next time. However, if
the solution is polluted or has been used for several times, it shall be replaced by
fresh buffer solution (borax buffer solution is easily to absorb carbon dioxide, we
do not recommend you to use it.).
