In the present investigation, the lack of peaks in the Xray analysis of the composite with LDH revealed thedelamination/exfoliation of the LDH in the epoxy resin,probably due to the intercalation of the resin monomersbetween the LDH layers, improving the overall dispersionstate. Epoxy/LDH/glass fiber three-component compositeswere successfully molded using the RTM process. Themechanical performance of the epoxy samples to whichDMF was added and later removed decreased, probably dueto traces of residual solvent left in the sample. This could bea consequence of the large amount of resin used (about350 g) for RTM molding that may have compromisedsolvent removal. The three-component composite with1 wt.-% of LDH showed the highest tensile and flexuralstrength results, close to those for the system without LDH.of two- and three-component epoxy composites
