About Agent Orange and its implications
The substance, Agent Orange, is dioxin-yielding chemical compounds. A 50-50 mixture of powerful phenoxy herbicides 2,4,-D and 2,4,5-T, Agent Orange was found to contain the most toxic chemical known to men, 2,3,7,8-T (Tetrachlorodibenzo-para-dioxin, or TCDD). During the Vietnam War, the US, under the code name, Operation Ranch Hand, sprayed 21million gallon of herbicide between 1962 and 1972, which is estimated to have yielded 170 kg of dioxin. However, as later found out, the adjusted estimate of the dioxin emitted in Vietnam (including dioxin produced from stored and abandoned herbicides) is believed to be over 600kg (including dioxin produced from stored and abandoned herbicides).

Các chất, chất độc da cam, là hợp chất hóa học dioxin năng suất. Một hỗn hợp 50-50 loại thuốc diệt cỏ phenoxy mạnh 2,4, -D và 2,4,5-T, chất độc da cam đã được phát hiện có chứa các hóa chất độc hại nhất được biết là người đàn ông, 2,3,7,8-T (Tetrachlorodibenzo- para-dioxin, hay TCDD). Trong cuộc chiến tranh Việt Nam, Mỹ, dưới tên mã, Chiến dịch Ranch Hand, phun 21million gallon thuốc diệt cỏ giữa năm 1962 và 1972, được ước tính đã mang lại 170 kg dioxin. Tuy nhiên, như sau này phát hiện ra, dự toán điều chỉnh của dioxin phát ra ở Việt Nam (bao gồm cả dioxin được sản xuất từ các chất diệt cỏ được lưu giữ và bị bỏ rơi) được cho là hơn 600kg (bao gồm cả dioxin được sản xuất từ các chất diệt cỏ được lưu giữ và bị bỏ rơi).
