“It doesn’t even scare Wolf,” Lauren nodded proudly, taking Camila’s hand and leading her into the house. “I bought two different ones and tested them out just in case. I also made dinner, which is… which is probably burning!” she realized, letting go of Camila’s hand and scrambling into the kitchen.Camila giggled, rolling her eyes playfully and following Lauren into the kitchen. She watched as her girlfriend pulled a pan out of the oven, swatting the steam away with her free hand. Setting it on the stove, Lauren turned to Camila with a dorky smile on her face.“Homemade pizza,” Lauren laughed softly, motioning towards the pan. Camila couldn’t help but smile, and she hurried forwards to plant a soft kiss on her girlfriend’s lips.“It is wonderful,” Camila said softly. “Lucas says hi, too,” she nodded, making Lauren laugh. “He fell asleep on me today,” she added with a quiet giggle.“How is the little booger?” Lauren asked, stealing another kiss from Camila before she turned back to the pan on the stove to cut the pizza into slices.“He can almost walk on his own,” Camila nodded happily, leaning against the wall as Lauren slid their food onto two plates. She took it upon herself to grab them two drinks from the fridge. “And he makes a lot of noises,” she laughed. Both girls sat in the middle of the living room, which was yet to have much furniture. Camila didn’t mind, though. She liked the open space. The sun streamed in through the windows and gave it an almost eerie calmness.“You’re beautiful.”Camila furrowed her eyebrows, looking up at Lauren with a mouthful of food. The green eyed girl couldn’t help but laugh. She leaned over, brushing Camila’s tousled hair out of her face. “I mean it, y'know,” she said softly.Confused, Camila tilted her head to the side.“You’re beautiful, Camz,” Lauren scooted forward and slid Camila’s beanie off of her head so she could run her fingers through her long hair. “I just wanna make sure you don’t forget that,” she whispered, slipping the light blue beanie back onto her head.Camila grew shy, looking down to hide how much she was blushing. She mumbled a thank you, which made Lauren laugh softly.“One day, I want you to be able to look in a mirror and say ‘I’m beautiful, and no one’s gonna tell me otherwise’,” Lauren nodded, reaching out and squeezing Camila’s shoulder.“One day,” Camila laughed softly. She looked up slowly, studying Lauren when the girl wasn’t paying attention. “Do you know, Lo?” Camila whispered, tilting her head to the side.“Hm?” Lauren looked up, wiping her mouth and giving Camila a look of confusion.“You are beautiful, too,” Camila nodded. She giggled when Lauren’s face grew as red as hers had. “Everything, Lo. Every single thing about you,” Camila pushed her plate aside and scooted forwards so she could gently run her fingers over Lauren’s cheek.“You know what?” Camila furrowed her eyebrows, coming up with a sudden revelation. She didn’t want for Lauren to answer. “You are like a good book, Lo.” She couldn’t help but laugh when she saw confusion spread across Lauren’s face.“Stay here,” Camila nodded once, scrambling to her feet and running into the bedroom. Moments later, she reemerged with a book in her hands. Camila knelt back down in front of Lauren and set the book inbetween them.“This is a very good book,” Camila nodded softly, running her fingers over the red and gold embellished cover. “But it is not because the cover is pretty.” She shook her head.Camila opened the book slowly and traced her fingers over the small words. “It is good because of what is inside. The words and the lessons. That is what matters, Lo,” she slid the book forwards in front of Lauren.“Where do you get this from?” Lauren laughed softly, placing a hand on the book and looking up at Camila. “I feel like you’ve done this whole ‘life’ thing a few times before. There’s too much wisdom in that lil’ body of yours,” she smiled, reaching out and lacing their fingers together.“Can we go for a walk?” Camila asked softly, looking out the window. “The sky is golden.”“Sure,” Lauren laughed, grabbing their plates and bringing them into the kitchen. Camila smiled, padding over to the front door so she could tug on her shoes.“Loooo,” Camila giggled, holding one of her feet up and looking at Lauren hopefully.Rolling her eyes, Lauren bent down to tie her girlfriend’s shoes. “I told you I can teach you how to do it on your own,” Lauren looked up at her, but Camila simply giggled and shook her head.“I like it when you do it,” Camila crinkled her nose. Lauren ruffled her hair playfully before slipping her own shoes on and heading out the front door. Camila fixed her beanie, hurrying to catch up with Lauren.“Wolf can come too,” Camila nodded, holding the door open for the fluffy white cat.“Camila! He’s not gonna f-,” Lauren was cut off when Camila padded towards her, Wolf sticking right by her side.“What was that?” Camila smirked, raising an eyebro
