Figure. 1.19 shows these same data plotted in terms of Y against Z. This iscomparable to a plot showing the variation of reaction velocity with substrate concentration.The deviation of the kinetic data from the hyperbolic function (Michaelis–Menten or Monod)is quite evident. The deviation seems to widen as the temperature increases from 4◦C to 10◦C(this is reflected in the increase of the L value). The gap narrows at 17◦C and reaches aminimum at 25◦C and 33◦C. Generally the same behavior was found for other pH and MLVSSvalues (54).
