Two weeks to go until NDI’s National ConferencePublished: 20 October 2015 - Lisa PeakeIt’s now little over two weeks before NDI’s National Conference on the 5th and 6th November at the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) in Rotherham. Small and medium sized manufacturers interested in exploring defence industry opportunities for their business are particularly urged to attend.The conference – focussed on growth through partnership – will examine the commercial opportunities emerging from the Defence Growth Partnership and Aerospace Growth Partnership and comes at a critical stage in the bedding-in and development of both programmes.Heavyweight speakers include: Philip Dunne, Minister of State for Defence Procurement, Sir Brian Burridge, Senior Vice-President UK Corporate, Finmeccanica, Dr Simon Cholerton, Operations Director, UKTI Defence and Security Organisation and Nick Whitney, Director Business Development, Boeing Defence UK.The event will provide SMEs and supply chain businesses with knowledge and contacts, with the second day geared around one-to-one meetings, allowing delegates direct access to key purchasers and supply chain managers.
