I am John Nguyen, I was one of the Vovinam students currently living in the United States. I accidently read an article which was posted on the Phnom Penh Post website at the URL: http://www.phnompenhpost.com/post-weekend/meet-odd-couple-bringing-hollywood-filmmaking-cambodia. This article was written by Will Jackson - Weekend Post Managing Editor of the Phnom Penh Post.

I felt that this was an insulting with baseless evident that the people who is working at the Phnom Penh Post of your country when he asserts that "Vovinam is a homegrown fighting styles."

I cannot understand why your country could let a journalist of the Phnom Penh Post to discriminate against and asserts with baseless evident towards our Vovinam Martial Arts. Vovinam is not only the pride of the people of Vietnam but also is the pride of many students from countries around the world. Does this article writer deliberately hostile to Vietnam in general and to all the ones who love the Vovinam Martials Arts worldwide in particular?

I think those authorized in your country should clarify this matter to return the respect for the Vietnamese people as well as for those who love this Vovinam Martial Arts in over the world

Tôi nghĩ rằng những người có thẩm quyền ở nước bạn nên làm rõ vấn đề này để trả lại sự tôn trọng đối với nhân dân Việt Nam cũng như đối với những người tình yêu này Vovinam Martial Arts ở trên thế giới nhìn về phía trước để xem các giải pháp khá từ nước bạn.
