regard,awirelessdataacquisitionsystem(WDAS)wouldhelptoestimatesolarenergypotentialconsid-
eringtheremoteregion'senergyrequirement.Thisarticleexplainsthedesignandimplementationof
WDASforassessmentofsolarenergy.Theproposedsystemconsistsofasetofsensorsformeasuring
meteorologicalparameters.Thecollecteddataarefirstconditionedusingprecisionelectroniccircuits
andtheninterfacedtoaPCusingRS232connectionviawirelessunit.TheLabVIEWprogramisusedto
furtherprocess,displayandstorethecollecteddatainthePCdisk.Theproposedarchitecturepermits
therapidsystemdevelopmentandhastheadvantageofflexibilityanditcanbeeasilyextendedforcon-
trollingtherenewableenergysystemslikephotovoltaicsystem.TheWDASwithexecutiveinformation
systemsandreportingtoolshelpstotapvastdataresourcesanddeliverinformation.
