Long time ago, it was told that humans came from the stones, water or any other element from under the earth, in the Manqha Pacha (the subterranean spiritual plane of the spirits) . Then, the gods created the Paqarinas or mistic places that could be caverns, water springs or lakes, where the stones left the Manqha Pacha to become into humans who settled the Aka Pacha (our physical world). The Paqarinas are holy places, gates between one world and another, but overall, cradle of the humans as we know them nowadays. The spirits of goodness still surround these places. It is always recomendable to leave in the Paqarina an offering for them in grattitude. It´s believed also to be the place where the Malkus or spirit of the mountains go to rest when they time comes.
Several of the modern Andean peoples trace their ancestries to mythical figures who emerged from paqarinas, holes in the ground. These places of origin, were regarded as shrines, where religious ceremonies had to be performed. The Inca paqarina was located at Paqari-tampu (Paccari Tampu), about 15 miles south of Cuzco.
What is more than interesting is that the existence of holes that connect different dimensions in the universe (Black holes and Worm holes) has been present in the conception of the world drawn up by the settlers of the pre-Hispanic tawantinsuyo, a civilization who used to know a lot about stars and constellations, without the modern technology.
