It is better for people to communicate with each other if there was only one language in the world. This essay will share my opinions about the advantages and disadvantages of everyone in the world speaking the same language.
There are many advantages of speaking the same language. Firstly, it is easy for people to communicate with each other. Everyone is able to travel all around the world without caring the barriers of language. The world seems to be a small village because the distance between people is becoming shorter and shorter. Secondly, it is good condition for developing the world trade. The countries will promote their comparative advantages, the economy will grow and the living standard of people will increase more and more. Furthermore, if all of us speaks the same language, we will know about many people and receive much support from them, our acquaintance will be increase and it is good for advancing.
Besides, there are many disadvantages of speaking the same language. Firstly, each country has a special culture, custom and history. And its language is the most important thing to reflect all of fundamental factors and process of development. If people around the world use the same language; the culture, customs and habits of each country will not be protected. So, the cultural diversity will decrease. Secondly, it is necessary for all of us to learn many languages because when studying the language of any nation, we know about many interesting things related to its civilisation such as: history, struggle, famous people, important inventions... So, know about a foreign language is same to have the other life.
In conclusion, everyone not only should use one common language in the world for different aims such as traveling, studying, commerce..., but also protect mother tongue of each other for cultural diversity.
