This is the report of a radon gas screening measurement. The measurement was performed using a continuous radon monitor (CRM) Sun Nuclear 1027, and was performed in conformance with test protocols established by the US Environmental Protection Agency in the document entitled Protocols for Radon and Radon Decay Product Measurements in Homes. The average values contained in this report reflect the radon gas concentration at the time of the test and should not be construed as either predictive or supportive of a similar measurement conducted at another time in the same structure.

About Radon Gas
* Radon gas is very common in Colorado, and typically any home can be fixed.

* Every home has some radon. About 5 in 10 homes in the Denver-metro area have radon in excess of the EPA action level.
* The cost to fix a home is about $1000 (excluding homes with large crawlspaces).
* A mitigation system is a simple device that draws radon from under the home using a fan. It runs continuously and costs about $30 per year in electricity.
* The risk of lung cancer from radon exposure in homes at 4 picocuries is 23 out of 1,000 (assuming a constant lifetime exposure in the home)
