Official information is the information that is gathered, processed and made available legally by established organizations, especially by the government departments and statutory authorities. For example: laws, taxation, etc. As Unilever, all the activities or performance has to comply with the laws in each country in order to create trusts and reputation to customers in that country. Obviously, when my decision is to launch the new product, my new product is produced that has to ensure the customers’ safe and health. All the products have to be high quality, not fake products. Besides that, Unilever has to pay tax each year on time based on the tax law and regulation. For example, ‘’all the organization and firms’ tax in Vietnam is 22 %, which is stared from January 1st, 2014 to January 1st, 2016’’ ( Tổng Cục Thuế).Unofficial information is the information that is collected from the rest of forms and sources. There are three of particular types are private research results, research reports, research papers, textbooks and opinion polls. Private research results are a sort of information that an organization develop from the available sources in the public. As for the research reports, papers and textbooks are available sources that a firm will refer from these sources. And opinion polls is to collect opinion via survey that has been developed already. More practically, in Unilever Company, in order to forecast the sales and revenue and propose the strategy to meet the Unilever’s objectives in 2015, I will refer from the sales record of the last year, for example.
