I didn't receive a response to a follow-up email that I sent after the trip was over. Posting it here in hopes that Indochina Junk sees and can correct this in the future.

The return trip to the airport was awful. The driver continued to talk to me in Vietnamese although it was extremely clear that I did not speak English.

The driver drove into oncoming traffic (I understand this is normal in Vietnam) in the top gear of his car at 40km/h. The engine is barely idling at that speed, and the car would vibrate and shake. His driving gave me a headache. There is no power to accelerate or act quickly in 5th gear at that speed. The driver is putting other people's lives in danger by doing this. Not only that, when he arrived at the airport, everyone was passing him doing double the speed (despite me needing to catch a flight, which is why I paid for a private vehicle to the airport). I don't understand why he was in such a rush to put our lives in danger, yet takes his sweet time on the smooth open road where people were following the direction of traffic. He clearly doesn't understand how to operate an automobile, and may even damage the vehicle long term (you are not supposed to stress an engine in top gear at that speed).

After arriving at the airport, he pointed to the airport and said "airport" twice. He then proceeded to miss the next two exits, and took the 3rd one, which required a loop back to the airport. He also dropped me off at the wrong terminal (I needed to go to the international terminal), and he knew this because he asked where I was going and I said Taiwan.

This was a few weeks ago now and I may have missed out on a few details. I want to write a positive review on TripAdvisor but the trip back left a bad taste in my mouth.
