it was christmas eve 1971. a film director called werner herzog was at the airport in lima, peru. he needed to take a plane into the jungle, but the flight was full. herzog waited for the next flight and the plane took off from the airport without him. a few minutes later, it crashed into the jungle. there was only one survivor- a 17 years old german girl called juliane koepke. her head and her arm hurt, but she was alive.
when the plane crashed, juliane fell through the trees and landed of the ground. she woke up 24 hours later.the other 96 people on the plane all died in the accident.
