The absorption spectrum (Fig. 1a) of the pale yellow silver
colloids prepared by citrate reduction showed a surface plasmon
absorption band with a maximum of 420 nm, indicating
the presence of lone spherical or roughly spherical Ag nanoparticles,
and TEM imaging confirmed this (Fig. 2A).
