Insert cd1 and when the installer launches, choose ‘Standalone Installation’

Enter your Serial number and CD key (included in 'serial no.txt' in the crackMax51 directory)

You can leave the ‘User Information’ Window blank.

Choose your destination directory for Max & Backburner.

Select your installation type: Typical, Compact or Custom.

Select which version of Character Studio you wish to install: 3.4, 4.0 or None.

Restart your system when asked.

Delete any hidden/system ‘*.dat’ files from the hidden ‘C_DILLA’ folder in your C: drives root directory. Do not delete anything else!!

Copy the relevant CS files from the ‘Crack/CSxx/Plugins’ folder on the root of the cd to your installed MaxPlugins folder, overwriting the existing ones.

i.e. If you installed version 4.0 of Character Studio…..Copy the four files from ‘CD:CrackCS40Plugins’ to ‘C:3dsmax51plugins’ etc….you get the idea!

Start Max 5.1
You will prolly get a message saying “A previous license has been detected” Blah!!...blah!! Just click ‘O.K.’

When you are asked what you would like to do……select the top option if you have a choice…’Authorize 3ds max 5’ then click next.

Now the next window is where a lot of people get it wrong!!
At the top of the window about 3 lines down, will be your request code
in the form: xxxx xxxx xxxx xxxx
Please note there should be 16 numbers!!
If you have more! e.g. 32…. Then you didn’t delete that hidden ‘*.dat’ file from C:C_DILLA’ did you!! So what are you scratching your butt for??
Hit ‘cancel’ and go delete it now! Then when you are back here, we will continue.

If it now shows 16 numbers, select the bottom option ‘Enter Authorization Code’ and click ‘Next’

Start the included Keygen from ‘CD:CrackMax51Keygen’ and copy and paste your request code into the top window of the keygen. Click ‘Go for It!’ and your authorization code will be generated in the bottom window.

Copy and paste the generated authorization code into the large window at the bottom of the Discreet ‘Register Today’ window. Select your country from the dropdown list and click ‘Next’

If all went well you will get an ‘Authorization Confirmation’ window open. Click ‘Finish’ and Max will start.

Select your Graphics Driver setup depending on your hardware and click ‘O.K.’

Congratulations……. You can now enjoy 3dsmax 5.1 and CS 4.0 ;)
